Summary:

  • Fleet Superintendent for 3-4 Ro-Ro, Ro-Pax vessels in the Stena fleet.

  • Stena is looking for a high quality, experienced & committed fleet superintendent. You’ll either have sailed as a qualified Chief Engineer or be a Second Engineer with suitable experience (including significant dry dock time and/or Ro-Ro/Ro-Pax).

Your primary accountabilities:

  • You will be an accomplished, modern leader and will be the first point of contact between ship and shore. You are likely to be responsible for 3-4 Ro-Ro, Ro-Pax vessels in the Stena fleet.

  • You will have overall responsibility for the supervision of: your vessel’s safe operations & technical performance; operational budget; inspections & audits; and dry dockings.

  • You will be line manager for Senior Masters/Senior Chief Engineers.

  • You will have accountability (among many other things) for:

    • Ensuring the maintenance of safety standards

    • Budgets

    • Technical operations.

    • Audits & inspections in accordance with Stena’s requirements.

    • Planned maintenance

    • Adherence to environmental regulations

    • Accident, incident or technical investigations as required.

  • An open communication style with your ships, to create an environment in which individuals can speak out without fear of reprisal and ensure continuous improvement.
